- Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - And speaking of Wolf Time — starting TODAY, all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will begin their new Wolf Time rotations. So be sure to check with your TA teachers to find out where you’ll be going. Once again, the new Wolf Time rotation begins today!
. - It’s time to start thinking about NEXT year’s classes! Course Request Forms are DUE this FRIDAY. So talk it over with your family, get it signed, and get it turned in. Remember — these decisions MATTER! If you don’t pick your classes, someone ELSE will pick them for you. See your class counselor with any questions.
. - And now, we’ve got an important update about the 2nd Quarter Wolf Paw Drawing! The drawing has been RESCHEDULED for this FRIDAY. Prizes are now on display outside of the library. There’s some great stuff in there, so be sure to take a look. Once again, the rescheduled Wolf Paw drawing is this FRIDAY.
. - WHAT ARE THOSE??? As part of our school’s commitment to sustainability, Williamsburg is supporting a Sneaker Recycling Program called “Got Sneakers!!” So if you have any old shoes lying around, don’t throw them away!! Instead, from now until the end of the year, please donate them to “Got Sneakers” by dropping them off in room 233. Again, bring your old shoes to room 233. See Mr. Sundwick with any questions.
. - And now for a “wellness tip” from our school clinic! It’s cold, flu, and covid season again — so here are three simple strategies for keeping our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE! First — WASH YOUR HANDS!! Second — Fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. And third — if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME.
.
Together, we can stop these germs and viruses BEFORE they spread. See our school nurse with any questions.
. And now, it’s time for “Black History Month — That’s a FACT!!”
.
Today’s fact is about Shirley Chisholm — the 1st African American woman elected to the United States Congress in 1969. She served for SEVEN terms in the House of Representatives — and was a champion for equal rights and economic justice. And in 1972, she was the 1st black woman to run for president! And That’s a Fact!!
