- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Today is the 12th annual Arlington Student Film Fest at Kenmore Middle School! All those students going to the Film Fest are reminded to meet in the library at 9:15 for the bus ride over. Once again, students going to the Arlington Student Film Fest should meet in the library at 9:15. See Mr. Schonfeld with any questions.
. - April is National Arab American Heritage Month! And today, you’re in for a special treat — LITERALLY! Students and staff are invited to sample an array of traditional food and drink from the Middle East during all grade-level lunches. Be sure to get yours before they’re gone!
. - Calling all MUNNERS!! The Model UN Club will meet TODAY during ASP I in room C105 to prepare for the upcoming conference at TJ. Please come prepared to work on your position paper if you are attending the conference; or be ready to participate in the latest discussion and game. See Mr. McDermott with any questions.
. - Give a Helping Hand to a four-legged friend! The WMS Helping Hands Club is wrapping-up the school year with its favorite project: a supply drive for the Animal Welfare League of Arlington! Starting this Wednesday, students and staff are encouraged to donate dog toys, pet food, leashes, or anything else on the “wishlist” posted around school. The collection bin will be located in the main lobby. Thanks for supporting the Animal Welfare League, and for helping their pets in need!!
. - And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Hwang! The SOLs are just around the corner, so your iPad needs to be working! If you are having any problems with your school-issued iPad — whether it’s password problems, not connecting to the internet, glitching apps, cracked screens, or ANYTHING else — please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. They’ll have you back online in no time!!
. - And speaking of SOLs, did you know that MOST students finish their SOLs BEFORE time expires? And that once you’re finished, you are NOT allowed to use your iPad? So you need to plan ahead! Students are encouraged to stop by the library and check-out a good book before the SOLs begin. You’ll be glad you did! See our school librarians for a recommendation.
. - And finally — April is Autism Awareness Month. And to teach us more about what that means, we have a special video prepared by one of your classmates.
