- Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Starting TODAY — all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will begin their new Wolf Time rotations. So be sure to check with your TA teachers to find out where you’ll be going. Once again, the new Wolf Time rotation begins today!
. - Calling all MUNNERS!! There will be NO Model UN Meeting today. But anyone who’s going to the TJ Conference should continue work on their position papers. The link to the entire conference, including background guides, is on the Model UN Canvas Page. The next meeting is now scheduled for April 30th. See Mr. McDermott with any questions.
. - And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Hwang! The SOL season is officially underway — so your iPad needs to be working! If you are having any problems with your school-issued iPad — whether it’s password problems, not connecting to the internet, glitching apps, cracked screens, or ANYTHING else — please submit the online “Student Tech Help Request” form through the WMS website. Ms. Hwang’s got the solution to getting you back online!
. - We’ve finally wrapped-up the 3rd quarter of school. And you know what that means: it’s almost time for the Wolf Paw Drawing!!! That’s right — the 3rd Quarter Wolf Paw Drawing is scheduled for this FRIDAY during TA. But you MUST submit your Wolf Paws no later than this THURSDAY to be eligible. And if you’d like a sneak-peak at the prizes, go check-out the display case by the library. Remember — turn in your Paws by this THURSDAY for a chance to win!
. - And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Another big CONGRATULATIONS to the following WMS Choir students who participated in the All-Virginia Choir in Richmond last week: Frankie D., Caleb B., Asia P., Naomi T., Eliana V., Sally B. and Charlotte A. Way to go, musical Wolves!! [clap]
. - Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Track and Field team — who defeated Gunston 128 to 53 last Thursday. It was an entire team effort, as WMS scored points in every single event!
.
Big props to THREE of our competitors who tied or broke school records: 6th grader Casey W. tied the High Jump record at 4-feet, 6-inches; 7th grader Whitaker C. broke his own 400-meter record at 63.65-seconds; and 7th grader Lucas H. also broke his own 800-meter record with a time of 2-minutes and 15-seconds. Way to go, running and jumping wolves!! [clap]
.
Up next for the Track and Field team — they’ll be hosting rival Gunston Middle School TODAY in their last home meet of the season. Students and staff are encouraged to come out and root the team to victory!!
