- Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Have you checked the lost and found lately? There’s a table outside of the cafeteria with DOZENS of jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and so much more. Be sure to take a look — you may just find some long lost treasures!
. - Up next, we need to talk about LOCKERS! Before you leave for Spring Break, please make sure that there is NO FOOD left in your locker. We don’t want to get BUGS! And if you’ve decorated a friend’s locker, those decorations MUST be removed by Friday. Thanks for your help, and for respecting our shared environment, Wolves!!
. - Calling all jokesters, wise-crackers, and class clowns! Do you think you’re funny? Then PROVE IT!! We need MORE STUDENT JOKES for the Morning Announcement’s Joke of the Day! If your TA would like to participate, just ask your TA teacher to sign-up using the GoogleForm in the staff newsletter, or contact Mr. Schonfeld for more information. Let’s see if you can make us laugh, Williamsburg! Ba Boom, Ching!!
. - Ready, set, READ!! Today is your LAST CHANCE to vote in the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND of the March Madness Tournament of Books! This year’s contenders are “Ground Zero” verses “Scythe.” Both are AMAZING books — but which will be the champion???
.
Here’s how to participate: Just go to the WMS Library Canvas Course and cast your vote by the end of the day. We’ll announce the winning book tomorrow. And the TAs with the winning brackets will be announced after Spring Break. Make your vote count! The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!!
. - And finally, it’s National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week here at APS — which aims to inspire dialogue about drug use and addiction among youth. Today, we need to talk about FENTANYL!
.
Fentanyl and other synthetic opioids are the most common substances involved in overdose deaths. Tragically, 1-person dies every 5-minutes from opioid overdoses in the US.
.
For more information about drug and alcohol abuse, or if YOU or SOMEONE YOU KNOW needs help, please contact Ms. Chisolm, the WMS Substance Abuse Counselor.
