- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - I hope you’ve all been on your best behavior lately — because Parent-Teacher Conferences are TODAY from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., and TOMORROW from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Conferences will be conducted “Arena Style” — so no appointment is necessary, but they are limited to 5-minutes each. Parents and teachers together — what could be better than that?!
. - Calling all students! Next month is National Arab American Heritage Month. To celebrate, the WMS Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is planning a series of programs and activities — but we need your help! If you would like to participate — and maybe even share a personal story about being an Arab-American — please contact Ms. Wielechowski in room 124 either before or after school. Thanks for your help, Wolves!!
. - It’s March Madness! And we’ve got a pair of tournaments underway. First up: Ready, set, READ!! Today is your last chance to vote in the Final-4 of the March Madness Tournament of Books! This year’s contenders are a mix of old favorites and new titles that are burning up the book charts. Who will be moving on?
.
Here’s how to participate: Just go to the WMS Library Canvas Course and cast your vote. We’ll announce the results next week. And remember: the TA in each grade with the best bracket will win a prize — so make your vote count! The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!!
. - Up next, it’s the Manie Musicale de Mars — aka the March Madness of Music! Nearly 6-million students from 34-countries are voting on the year’s best songs. And YOU get a vote, too! All students in FRENCH are reminded to cast your vote TOMORROW — from home! — for the FIFTH matchup in the Sweet-16.
.
And if any non-French students are interested in the tournament, too — just go to room 220 and scan the QR code, or ask Ms. McNeese for more information. Vive la Musique!!
. - And finally, March is Women’s History Month — a time to recognize and celebrate the AMAZING contributions that women have made to the world we live in.
.
And now, please stay tuned for this special video about an EXTRAORDINARY woman — who was a champion for SUFFRAGE and WOMEN’S RIGHTS. Roll Tape!!
