- Today we will be following the C-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1 through 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And remember, there is NO Wolf Time today. Again, this is a C-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Attention 7th graders!! If you are scheduled to go to the Outdoor Lab today, please check in with your TA teacher then report to the cafeteria no later than 8am. Once again, if you’re going to the Outdoor Lab, tell your TA teacher and come to the cafeteria. And don’t forget to bring your jacket and lunch!!
. - Calling all students! Now that we’re in the last week before Winter Break, some of our after school procedures are a little bit different. As of today, there will be no LATE BUSES, no INTRAMURALS, and no after school CLUBS. But everything goes back to normal when we return in January. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - Winter sports are coming soon! Girls Basketball tryouts AND Co-Ed Wrestling practices are both scheduled to begin on January 2nd. If you’d like to participate in either sport, please sign-up using the QR code outside of the cafeteria. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - WHAT ARE THOSE??? If you have any old shoes lying around, don’t throw them away — because Williamsburg is joining a Sneaker Recycling Program called “Got Sneakers!!” To donate, just bring your old shoes to room 233. See Mr. Sundwick with any questions.
. - And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to our entire WMS Music Department — the band under Mr. Edwards, the chorus under Ms. McTavish, the Orchestra under Ms. Wallace, and their more than 200-music students — for putting on an INCREDIBLE Winter Concert series this year.
.
In addition to yesterday’s school-wide assemblies, each musical group also did an OUTSTANDING job in their evening performances over the past two weeks. What a great way to ring in the new year! Way to go, musical Wolves!! [clap]
. - Today is the last day of SPIRIT WEEK, 2023! Thanks to everyone who celebrated the season by dressing up for “Holiday Gear Day.” You’ve got spirit, yes you do!!
.
And to EVERYONE who’s shown your school spirit all year long — by supporting your friends and classmates here in our shared community — thanks for putting the W-in-Everything, and for being a part of the WOLF PACK PRIDE!! [clap]
. - And finally, in addition to Hanukkah and Christmas, there is another holiday that’s starting next week: Kwanzaa! Kwanzaa is celebrated each year from December 26th to January 1st. It’s a cultural or non-religious holiday that recognizes African-American history, values, family, community and culture.
.
And now, stay tuned for this next video that takes a closer look at Kwanzaa. Roll Tape!!
