- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Attention 7th graders!! If you are scheduled to go to the Outdoor Lab today, please check in with your TA teacher then report to the cafeteria no later than 8am. Once again, if you’re going to the Outdoor Lab, tell your TA teacher and come to the cafeteria. And don’t forget to bring your jacket and lunch!!
. - Calling all MUNNERS! The Model UN Club will have its final meeting of 2023 TODAY in room C105 during ASP I. Participants will present their slideshows on US Interventions, and talk about the upcoming conference at Dorothy Hamm. You can also get a permission slip for the next conference at National Cathedral School. See Mr. McDermott with any questions.
. - Attention Inked Club!! There will be no Inked after school today. The next meeting will be in 2024. See Ms. Martin with any questions.
. - Attention all students! Now that we’re in the last week before Winter Break, some of our after school procedures will be a little bit different. As of now, there will be no more LATE BUSES and no more INTRAMURALS. And on Wednesday, there will be no after school CLUBS. But everything goes back to normal when we return in January. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - Winter sports are coming soon! Girls Basketball tryouts AND Co-Ed Wrestling practices are both scheduled to begin on January 2nd. If you’d like to participate in either sport, please sign-up using the QR code outside of the cafeteria. And be sure that you’ve got a physical of file by TODAY or else you won’t be allowed to play. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - WHAT ARE THOSE??? If you have any old shoes lying around, don’t throw them away — because Williamsburg is joining a Sneaker Recycling Program called “Got Sneakers!!” To participate, just bring your old shoes to room 233. See Mr. Sundwick with any questions.
. - It’s SPIRIT WEEK here at WMS!! Thanks to all of our students and staff who showed their HOLIDAY SPIRIT by wearing red and white for Candy Cane Day! You’ve got spirit, yes you do!
.
And here’s the breakdown for the rest of the week: we wrap-up Spirit Week tomorrow with Holiday Gear Day — so wear something to honor whatever you’re celebrating this holiday season. Get into the school spirit for Spirit Week, and be a part of the Wolf Pack Pride!!
. - There’s something BIG and LOUD happening in school today: it’s the WMS “Winter Concert” — featuring performances by our entire WMS music program. It’s the perfect way to usher in the holidays! Each grade-level will have its own assembly. Here’s the schedule: 8th grade during 2nd period; 7th grade during 4th period; and 6th grade during 6th period.
.
Before the show, all students should report to class for attendance. Your classroom teacher will then escort you to the auditorium. Books and iPads are NOT allowed — so be sure to leave them in your classroom. And remember to be RESPECTFUL and SUPPORTIVE of your peers. Enjoy the show, and thanks for putting the W-in-Everything, wolves!!
. - And now, we’ve got some EXCITING news for a very lucky student. The Anime Club conducted its Holiday Raffle yesterday — for the grand prize of a professional 100-piece sketching kit donated by the New York School of Art.
.
And the winner is: 6th grader Grant N. from Ms. Miller’s TA! Congratulations, Grant! See Ms. Hogwood to pick up your prize. And thanks to EVERYONE who participated in the Anime Club Holiday Raffle!
. - And finally, we are just 2-days away from Winter Break!! There will be holiday parties, vacations, and best of all — NO SCHOOL!!
.
Student reporters Mari and Layne want to know what YOU are doing during break. Roll Tape!!
