  • Today is an EARLY RELEASE day, so the schedule is a little different than usual.  We will be following a modified C-Day schedule. That means TA ends at 8am, and then you’ll be attending periods 1 through 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class.  Again, this is a modified C-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Book Fair, 2023All the best books are on sale NOW!!  The Scholastic Book Fair is OPEN for business — from now through December 13th in the WMS library.  Students will be visiting the Fair with their English and Reading classes, but you may also go before TA, during lunch, and after school on most days. The Book Fair will also be open in the evening before-and-after the Winter Concerts.  See our school librarians for more information. And thanks for supporting the Scholastic Book Fair!!
    .
  • Attention Anime Club!  Due to the early release, there will be NO ANIME MEETING this week.  But don’t forget that NEXT Wednesday is the Anime Club Holiday Trivia Party!  You don’t want to miss it!  Contact Ms. Armistead with any questions.
    .
  • Calling all students!!  Please bring your iPads to PE this week for a special Counseling Health lesson.  Once again, everyone should bring your iPad to PE.
    .
  • Show someone you care this holiday season and get them a Candy Gram! Candy Grams cost just 1-dollar each, and you can order them through your TA teacher from now through December 15th.   They’ll be delivered to the person of your choice before Winter Break.  And all proceeds will benefit the WMS Best Buddies Club.  See Ms. Taylor with any questions about Candy Grams. Happy Holidays!!
    .
  • Did you miss Picture Day last month, or did your picture not turn out so well? Then you’re in luck!  Because “Picture Make-Up Day” is this FRIDAY in the Auxiliary Gym.  But remember: if you’re getting a retake, you must bring your unwanted picture packet with you to exchange. And if you don’t get your picture taken at all, then please be aware that you WON’T be included in the WMS yearbook. See Ms. Johnson with any questions. And say cheese!
    .
  • Give a “helping hand” to those in need!  The WMS Helping Hands Club is hosting a holiday gift drive benefiting the young patients at Virginia Hospital Center Pediatrics. They ESPECIALLY need presents for teenagers. For gift ideas, just go online to the VHC Amazon Wishlist.  Gifts should be UNWRAPPED and UNOPENED, and you can leave them in the collection bin — located in the main lobby — between now and December 13th.  THANK YOU for your support and generosity!
    .
  • And now for a technology tip from Ms. Hwang!  If your iPad is ever out of commission, WMS has a limited number of laptops that students may use instead.  However, several of these computers have gone missing lately, and we need them back! So when you go to your locker today, please look to see if there’s a WMS laptop in there. And if there is, TURN IT IN!!  Thanks for your help, wolves!!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  The WMS Girls Soccer team defeated Kenmore on Monday: 7 to nothing!
    .
It was a dominating performance, with SIX different players scoring goals:  8th graders Giliana R, Katie P, Matilda V, and Amelia D; and 7th graders Maggie K, and 2 goals by Harper S!  Way to go, soccer Wolves!!
