Back to School Night, 2023

Good evening, Williamsburg families!  Today is Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
.
Welcome to “Back to School Night” at WMS!
.
I’m Layne.
.
And I’m Lincoln.  And these are YOUR Evening Announcements on WOLF-TV!

First up, we’d like to introduce a special “Welcome Message” — Featuring our Principal, Mr. Boykin; our Director of Counseling Services, Ms. Kenney; and our PTA President, Ms. Selig.
.
Roll Tape!!

We’re back!!  And we’ve got a few more things you need to know before you’re dismissed.
.

We will be following a condensed C-Day schedule tonight — which means you’ll be attending all SEVEN of your child’s classes, plus TA.
.

TA will last for 25 minutes, while all other classes run for 10 minutes.  And you’ll have 5-minutes between each class to find your next destination.
.

Your child has prepared a schedule for you to follow that will be distributed in TA.  Some of these classrooms are VERY far apart, so don’t dawdle!  If you need directions, there will be “student-ambassadors” stationed throughout the school to provide assistance.
.

Unfortunately, there won’t be time for in-depth meetings with individual teachers tonight.  However, we encourage you to come back for Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 19th and 20th, where you’ll have all the time you need to talk face-to-face.
.

And in case you’ve forgotten since WAY BACK in the “old days” when YOU were a student:  there’s no running in the halls, spit out your gum, and always raise your hand when asking a question!
.

But the most important thing is:  HAVE FUN!!!!
.

That’s all for now, but be sure to keep tuning-in to WOLF-TV for important news, tips, and information.
.

Until next time: Enjoy Back to School Night, Williamsburg!!
