  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And don’t forget, all students should go back to your TA for Wolf Time.  Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Listen up, Wolf Pack!  Today is the annual Safety Assembly for all students in all grades —  8th graders during period 1; 7th graders during period 3; and 6th graders during period 7. Students are asked to leave all of your books and belongings in your classroom, and then proceed to the Auditorium WITH YOUR TEACHER.  And please — let’s remember to be courteous and RESPECTFUL during the Safety Assembly.

  • Calling all athletes!!  Fall sports at WMS will be getting underway soon.  If you’re planning to play tennis, boys’ soccer, girls’ ultimate, or cheer — you MUST submit your sports physical by this FRIDAY.  This is NON-NEGOTIABLE.   Contact our Activities Coordinator, Ms. Hogwood, at lunch for more information about getting a physical.
    .
  • And speaking of sports:  Girls Ultimate will be holding its first practice next Monday, September 11th, after school in the main gym.  Female athletes from all grades and all experience levels are welcome to join!  There are NO TRYOUTS, and you’ll learn everything you need to know on the field. See Mr. Smolinski with any questions. And don’t forget to submit your physical!
    .
  • And now for a “technology tip” from Mr. Wightman and Ms. Hwang!  Your school-issued iPad will be a critical learning tool for you this year — so it needs to be working!  If there’s anything wrong with your iPad — including password problems, cracked screen, broken apps, WiFi, or anything else — please communicate your iPad issue to your TA teacher, and they will notify technology support.  So don’t delay — get your iPad fixed today!!
    .
  • Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “I am hopeful because…” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts.  The deadline to submit is Tuesday, November 21st. • Hispanic Heritage Month is just around the corner — and WMS is gearing-up for a host of activities and celebrations.  But we need your help!  If you’d like to volunteer, please contact our Equity Coordinator, Ms. Wielechowski, in room 124 before or after school.  Thanks for supporting Hispanic Heritage Month, wolves!!
