Hey 8th graders! The year may have just started, but it’s already time to think about HIGH SCHOOL! A representative from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology will be hosting an informational session TODAY at 9 A.M. in the auditorium. Interested students should get a pass from Mr. Hicks or Ms. Flynn in the main office — and all your questions will be answered. And if you decide to apply, the on-line form is available on the TJ Admissions website until October 14th.

We’ve got spirit, yes we do! We’ve got spirit, how about YOU! Grab your pom-poms, because tryouts for the WMS Cheerleading squad begin TODAY during ASP 1. 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls AND boys are encouraged to join. Just sign up on the Activity Board by the cafeteria and make sure you have a physical on file. Please see Ms. Sutphin with any questions.

The Wolfbots LEGO robotics team is looking for 6th and 7th graders to join the team. Tryouts are TODAY during ASP 1 in room 129. See Mr. “Dude” with any questions.

He shoots, he SCORES!! Come support your WMS boys soccer team as they take on cross-town rival Swanson, TODAY at 3:15. This will be the first official game on Williamsburg’s new turf field. Just cross your fingers the weather hold out!

Move over, Donald and Hillary — because the biggest political campaign is RIGHT HERE at WMS!! The SCA is making one last call for candidates. They’re looking for STUDENT LEADERS in the 8th grade who can work with Principal Laurie and the entire student body to make our school a better place. Come to the meeting on THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 205 to learn more, or see Mr. Peacock with any questions. Forget Uncle Sam, Williamsburg needs you!

The WMS Model UN club is set to kick-off a new season! Interested debaters should attend the first meeting — THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 202. See Mrs. Carlson with any questions. You could change the world!!

The Best Buddies Club will have its first meeting on FRIDAY during TA in room 124. This inspirational club is your chance to really make a difference in our school, and with our amazing kids. Double your pleasure, triple your fun! The WMS Yearbook would like to invite all Williamsburg TWINS — and TRIPLETS — to get their pictures taken for a special section in this year’s issue.
