  • What are YOU doing after school? I’ll tell you what — INTRAMURALS!! That’s right, intramurals begin after school TODAY with basketball in the Gym. The program runs every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:15 — no sign-ups are needed. Just check the daily intramural schedule on the WMS website to find out that day’s sport. See Ms. Stankus or Ms. Richards with any questions. Come out and play!!
  • Hey 8th graders! The year may have just started, but it’s already time to think about HIGH SCHOOL! Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology is now accepting applications. The on-line form is available on the TJ Admissions website until October 14th. Interested? Then come to an informational meeting TOMORROW at 9 A.M. in the auditorium and talk to a representative from the school. Just get a pass from Mr. Hicks or Ms. Flynn in the main office.
  • WMS Girls Ultimate Frisbee is “spinning” towards its first game against Kenmore — but it’s still not too late to join the team! Interested athletes MUST come to practice TODAY, TOMORROW, or THURSDAY. If you want to play, Coach “Smo” says we need to see your face on the field!
  • We’ve got spirit, yes we do! We’ve got spirit, how about YOU! Grab your pom-poms, because tryouts are about to begin for the WMS Cheerleading squad. 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls AND boys are encouraged to come out — TOMORROW during ASP 1. Just sign up on the Activity Board by the cafeteria and make sure you have a physical on file. Please see Ms. Sutphin with any questions.
  • The Wolfbots LEGO robotics team is looking for 6th and 7th graders to join the team. Tryouts are TOMORROW during ASP 1 in room 129. See Mr. “Dude” with any questions.
  • The WMS Model UN club is set to kick-off a new season! Interested debaters should attend the first meeting — THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 202. See Mrs. Carlson with any questions. You could change the world!!
  • Double your pleasure, triple your fun! The WMS Yearbook would like to invite all Williamsburg TWINS — and TRIPLETS — to get their pictures taken for a special section in this year’s issue. Just come to room 136 on THURSDAY — right after the announcements — and say CHEESE! Please see Ms. Briones with any questions.
  • Calling all dancers, musicians, writers, filmmakers, and visual artists! Put your creative genius to the test in the annual “Reflections” contest. This year’s theme: “What Is Your Story?” Just get a submission form and turn-in your entry to the “Reflections” box in the library by October 17th.
