- The WMS Model UN club is back in business! Returning members are asked to please attend a brief meeting on THURSDAY, from 2:30 to 3 in room 202 — where you’ll start making plans for the upcoming season. Just remember that there are NO late buses, so make sure you’ve got a way home. See Ms. Carlson if you have questions.
- We’ve officially been back-to-school for an entire week. How’s it going so far? Do you like your teachers? Making new friends? Feeling stressed out? Students with ANY concerns about their schedule, socializing with classmates, or who just need to “talk” are encouraged to drop by the main office and take a meeting with our grade-level counselors. Ms. Flynn and Ms. Schaefer for 8th grade; Mr. Tuttle for 7th; and Ms. Boyers and Mr. Caldwell for 6th. They’re here for YOU!!
- Attention actors! The Act 2 Theatre Arts Class is now accepting students for the Fall semester. The first meeting is scheduled for TODAY during ASP 1 in room 228. Just sign up with Mr. Brown, or come on by. This year’s project is: a school play! You can perform on stage, work backstage, or even produce the show. But there’s no late bus, so make sure you’ve got a way home.
- Our WMS student-athletes put their best foot — and racket — forward yesterday as TRYOUTS got underway for a pair of sports — and there’s more in store today. First up: Serve, volley, SMASH! Tennis tryouts continue at Yorktown High School. Players should meet at the bus loop by the cafeteria immediately after school for the drive over. Please see Mr. Seeger for more information.
- And next: He shoots, he SCORES! Tryouts continue for the boys’ soccer team on Field 2 from 2:30 to 4 P.M. 7th graders are TODAY, and 8th graders are on THURSDAY. The sign-up sheet is located on the Activity Board by the cafeteria. Please see Mr. Witte with any questions. And remember — all students MUST have a completed physical on-file to participate in any WMS sport.
