- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And don’t forget, all students should go back to your TA for Wolf Time. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Listen up, Wolf Pack! Today is the annual Expectations Assembly for all students in all grades — 8th graders during period 2; 7th graders during period 4; and 6th graders during period 6. Students are asked to leave all of your books and belongings in your classroom, and then proceed to the Auditorium with your teacher. And please — let’s remember to be courteous and RESPECTFUL during the Expectations Assembly.
. - And now for an important SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT for all students! When crossing the street on the way to school or on the way home, please DO NOT USE YOUR IPHONE!! Distracted walking is incredibly dangerous, so you really need to pay attention to the traffic around you. Once again, put down your phone in the crosswalk — and STAY SAFE!!
. - Calling all athletes!! Don’t forget to complete the QR code for all after-school sports. And turn in your SPORTS PHYSICAL FORM to the YELLOW mailbox outside of the Athletics Office before it’s too late! See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - Attention all fans of high school sports!! Throughout the year, Yorktown High School will be hosting numerous games and tournaments after school. But unless you’re a member of the team, you MUST be escorted by a parent or responsible adult. Otherwise, you will NOT be allowed inside. This policy goes for all APS schools. Once again, you must have an adult present to attend high school sports.
. - Have you checked the lost and found lately? It’s only the second week of school, but a number of lost items have already been turned-in: water bottles, lunch boxes, hats, sweatshirts, and more! If you’ve lost anything, there’s a HUGE lost-and-found located in the cafeteria. You should also check the lost and found in each of your teachers’ classrooms. And for lost iPADS, check the bin in the main office.
. - In the fight against breast cancer — YOU can make a difference!! Williamsburg Middle School is excited to announce the creation of a Breast Cancer Awareness store — which can be accessed through the WMS website. From now until September 11th, you can purchase long or short sleeved shirts, they’ll be shipped directly to your home, and all proceeds will support the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
.
Plus, these shirts can be used at our Pink Out event on October 15th! So once again, go to the Breast Cancer Awareness store on the WMS website, and show your PINK PRIDE!!
