  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And don’t forget, all students should go back to your TA for Wolf Time.  Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Listen up, Wolf Pack!  Today is the annual Safety Assembly for all students in all grades —  8th graders during period 1; 7th graders during period 3; and 6th graders during period 7. Students are asked to leave all of your books and belongings in the classroom, and then proceed to the Auditorium with your teacher.  And please — let’s remember to be courteous and RESPECTFUL during the Safety Assembly.
    .
  • Calling all 8th graders!  Please report to the LIBRARY for your science class today.  Once again, all of Ms. Woodbury’s and Ms. Warden’s 8th grade science classes should go to the LIBRARY.
    .
  • How would YOU like to be a part of Williamsburg’s AWARD WINNING robotics team???  Mr. Dudek is seeking students from all three grades to be the newest members of Wolfbots Robotics. Interested students should see Mr. Dudek in room 129 for details, or go to the Activities Fair later this month.
    .
  • WMS is gearing up for FALL SPORTS!!  Next Monday, September 12th, we’ll be holding tryouts for Girls Soccer, co-ed tennis, and the co-ed Cheer Squad.  Also next Monday, Boys Ultimate will be holding its first practice — all players are welcome at Ultimate with NO TRYOUTS necessary.  Just check the Activities Board by the cafeteria for more information — or contact Mr. Treble for soccer, Mr. Smo for Ultimate, Mr. Mencarini for tennis, or Ms. Hogwood for Cheer.
    .
If you’re planning on trying out for any of those sports — please be sure to scan the QR code on the activities board by the cafeteria.  And girls soccer players should scan BOTH QR codes.
    .
Also, you MUST have a current physical on file by this FRIDAY in order to participate. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Contact our Activities Coordinator, Ms. Hogwood, with any questions.  And be sure to check Canvas for additional information and announcements from Ms. Hogwood about sports.
    .
  • Hispanic Heritage Month is just around the corner — and WMS is gearing-up for a host of activities and celebrations.  But we need your help!  Interested students are STRONGLY encouraged to contact our Equity Coordinator, Ms. Wielechowski, by Friday, September 16th in room 124 OR through Canvas.  Hispanic Heritage is an important part of our shared American story — and YOU can be a part of it.  Thanks for your support, wolves!!
    .
  • This is National Suicide Prevention Week — and here at WMS we want to raise awareness about this SERIOUS issue.  Eighth graders Julie and Taylor will be passing out ribbons and locker magnets all week to show our support.  They’ll also have links and QR codes to the Suicide Prevention website for more information. And if you or someone you know is struggling or needs support NOW, please call or text the new suicide helpline at 988 or search 988lifeline.org.  Just remember — the world is better with YOU in it.
