- We will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And don’t forget, all students should go back to your TA for Wolf Time. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Attention all students and staff! Please be aware that the Safety Assembly — originally scheduled for today — has been cancelled, and will be rescheduled for another day. Please proceed with your regular daily schedule. Once again, the Safety Assembly has been cancelled. Contact your grade-level administrator with any questions.
. - Calling all athletes!! The Fall sports season is about to begin — with co-ed tennis, girls soccer, boys ultimate, and cheer. But to participate, you MUST do TWO THINGS: first, complete the QR code for your sport. And second, you must submit your SPORTS PHYSICAL FORM — tennis, soccer and ultimate is due TODAY; and cheer by September 13th. Please bring you physical to Ms. Hogwood’s office across from the cafeteria. You may place it in the YELLOW mailbox or slide it under her door. Do NOT put your physical in the silver bin. Again, only place your sports physical form in the YELLOW mailbox or under her door.
. - Did you know that Arlington and the DMV are considered the world’s TOP region for Ultimate Frisbee? In fact, 10-percent of the US National Team comes from Arlington! And YOU could be next!! Boys Ultimate kicks-off TODAY after school in the main gym. There are NO TRYOUTS — and EVERYONE is welcome to play! Participants should bring a water bottle and athletic clothing. See Mr. Smo in the gym or Ms. Hogwood in the cafeteria with any questions.
. - And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Stokes-Beverley and Ms. Hwang! Your school-issued iPad will be a critical learning tool for you this year — so it needs to be working! If there’s anything wrong with your iPad — including password problems, cracked screen, broken apps, WiFi, or anything else — please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. We’ll get you back online in no time!
. - In the fight against breast cancer — YOU can make a difference!! Williamsburg Middle School is excited to announce the creation of a Breast Cancer Awareness store — which can be accessed through the WMS website. From now until September 11th, you can purchase long or short sleeved shirts, they’ll be shipped directly to your home, and all proceeds will support the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
.
Plus, these shirts can be used at our Pink Out event on October 15th! So once again, go to the Breast Cancer Awareness store on the WMS website, and show your PINK PRIDE!!
