  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  Ring up another pair of victories for the boys Ultimate Frisbee team — which defeated BOTH Dorothy Hamm and Kenmore middle schools on Wednesday afternoon. The Hamm game was close until the end — but 8th graders Diego H. and Lucas M. made a huge throw-and-catch to seal the deal — 15 to 11.  Meanwhile, the Wolfpack defense SHUT IT DOWN in the endzone against Kenmore — leading to a comfortable 12 to 5 win.  Way to go, frisbee wolves!! [clap]. The next match promises to be the toughest of the year so far — Monday against HB-Woodlawn.  Good luck, players!!

  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with another successful outing for the WMS tennis team in their big win against Kenmore Middle School yesterday.  Shout out to 6th graders Elena L., Matthew K., Maxik S., and Chase W.; as well as 8th graders Jacklynka S., Ojas C., Eleni G., and Nick W. Way to go, tennis wolves!! [clap]. Tennis gets back into the “swing” next Tuesday against Gunston.
    .
  • And we wrap up Wolf Pack Pride with girls Soccer FIRST WIN of the season yesterday — 2 to 0 against Kenmore.  8th graders Katie K. and Erin S. handled the scoring — while 8th grader Julia L. and 7th grader Tiffany T. provided the shutout in goal.  Way to go, soccer wolves!! [clap]. Soccer kicks-off their next game against Gunston on Tuesday.

  • Calling all bi-lingual 7th and 8th graders! If you know how to read and write in any language other than English, you should take the “Credit by Exam.” It’s an easy way to earn up to FOUR high school credits. See your grade-level counselor for more information — and be sure to register by October 4th.
    .
  • Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “Look Within.” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. Submission forms can be found in the WMS Library, and projects must be received by October 28th. Unleash your inner artist and submit today!!
    .
  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Wielechoski in the office with any questions.
    .
  • One last thing — TA teachers are still collecting money for student agendas, which were distributed back during the first week of school. Students are asked to please TELL YOUR PARENTS to send in 7-dollars — either cash or check, made out to Williamsburg Middle School. See your TA teacher with any questions.
