  • Read any good books lately? The “Talk about Books” Club” — a.k.a. TAB — will be meeting on TUESDAY during all grade level lunches in the library. So grab your grub and come take a look at these Totally Awesome Books!!

  • The WMS Tennis Team will be hosting its first match of the season — TODAY against Gunstun Middle School at the Yorktown tennis courts.  Players should meet at the bus loop right after school for the walk over — and the match begins at 3:15.  See Mr. Seeger with any questions, and cross your fingers for dry courts!

  • Calling all WOLFBOTS!!! The Williamsburg Wolfbots Robotics team will be holding tryouts TODAY during ASP 1 and 2 in room 129.  If you received an invitation, be sure to get it signed by your parents and bring it with you tomorrow. Coach Dude is looking forward to another great year of robotics!!

Then come and check out “Inked” — the Williamsburg Writing Club, TODAY during ASP 1 in room C101.  Because when you write — you’re right!!  See Ms. Martin with any questions.

  • The WMS Kindness Club will have its first meeting of the year TODAY during ASP 1 in room 201. Participants will brainstorm “acts of kindness” for the school and community for throughout the year. Students who signed-up at the activity fair should be receiving a personal invitation — but of course ALL ARE WELCOME — even if you didn’t.  Any questions?   • Calling all MUNners!  The first official meeting of the year is scheduled for this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in the WOLF DEN.  New AND returning members are encouraged to attend — as you’ll be getting right to work with Country Projects, Practice Debates, and signing up for upcoming Model UN conference this Fall.  See Ms. Carlson with any questions.

How would you like to go to one of the top High Schools in the country?  Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 school year.  But applications are due this FRIDAY at 4 pm — so don’t delay.   • Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “Heroes Around Me.” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. Submission forms can be found in the WMS Library, and projects must be received by October 25th. Now go create something awesome!!

  • It’s the first official week of Fall, and you know what that means — the new line of Fall PE Gear is HERE!!! Check out these fantastic new designs: we’ve got Hoodies, Sweatpants, and Long-Sleeved t-shirts. Don’t get left out in the cold — LITERALLY. Just get an order form from your PE teacher, and buy your Fall PE Gear by October 4th. Show your SCHOOL SPIRIT and BE A PART OF THE PRIDE!!

  • And finally today — it’s time for some WOLF PACK PRIDE!  The Girls Ultimate Frisbee team played a big double-header yesterday against H-B Woodlawn.  It was a hard fought match from start to finish, and your Williamsburg Wolves managed a well-earned split — taking the first game in a 8 to zero shutout, but losing the second 5 to one.  All in all, it’s a good start to the season.  Way to go, frisbee wolves!  [clap]  Up next for Ultimate Frisbee, the girls takes Jefferson Middle School, this THURSDAY.  Go get ’em, team!!!
