Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

In this country, we all have the Freedom of Speech AND the Freedom to Read! This is Banned Books Week — which raises awareness about the many books, essays, and publications that face censorship in this country. In recognition of this event, the WMS Library has created a “Banned Books Collection” on display for all students and staff. So come get yourself a banned book — and be PROUD of your Freedom to Read!!

What are YOU doing after school this year? The WMS Activities Fair for 7th and 8th graders is scheduled for TODAY starting at 3pm in the cafeteria. Meet with coaches, club sponsors, teachers, and participating students — and find the best activity for you! Late buses will be provided for students with a valid pass. See you at the Activities Fair!!

Calling all RETURNING members of the Anime Club! The club sponsor — Ms. Armistead — needs volunteers for today’s Activities Fair. If you are available, please meet in the cafeteria after school. And be sure to wear your WMS Anime Club shirts! Thanks for being ANIME-zing!!

Brush your hair, wash your face, and smile for the camera! SCHOOL PICTURE DAY is just a few weeks away — scheduled for October 15th and 16th in the gym during all PE classes. Picture packages can be ordered in advance — ONLINE — by going to the WMS website. See Dr. Koval with any questions. And say cheese!!

Attention all fans of high school sports!! Throughout the year, Yorktown High School will be hosting numerous games and tournaments after school. But unless you’re a member of the team, you MUST be escorted by a parent or responsible adult. Otherwise, you will NOT be allowed inside. This policy goes for all APS schools. Once again, you must have an adult present to attend high school sports.
