- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. We also have WOLF TIME today — which will take place in your TA classroom. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - The WMS Activities Fair kicked-off yesterday — with SCORES of 6th graders getting a sneak peak at all of the after school activities Williamsburg has to offer. And today, it’s time for our 7th and 8th graders to join in the fun. From sports, to clubs to academic classes — whatever you’re into, we’ve got it here. Once again, 7th and 8th graders are invited to the WMS Activities Fair right after school in the cafeteria. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “I will change the world by…” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. Submission forms can be found in the WMS Library, and projects must be received by October 26th. Unleash your inner artist and submit to the PTA Reflections Contest today!!
. - And finally — an important announcement for all students in all grades! APS will be conducting its “Fall Growth Assessments” this week. Everyone will start by taking your READING test on Wednesday during TA; and then the MATH test will be conducted either during your A or B-Day math classes — with the exception of Algebra 1 and Geometry students, who do NOT have to take the test.
. - All of the Assessments will be conducted using your school iPad. So in preparation, EVERYONE needs to make sure that your iPad has been updated to iOS 14.7.1 — and that your TestNav is fully functioning. Your TA teacher will help you verify that everything works. Be sure to contact Ms. Solomon with any questions or technology problems.
