  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5 and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. We also have WOLF TIME today — which will take place in your TA classroom. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “I will change the world by…” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. Submission forms can be found in the WMS Library, and projects must be received by October 26th. Unleash your inner artist and submit to the PTA Reflections Contest today!!

  • What are YOU doing after school this year? WMS offers DOZENS of after-school activities for students — ranging from sports to clubs to academic classes. Whatever you’re into, you’re gonna find it here!  So stop by the WMS Activities Fair — scheduled for next MONDAY, September 20th for 6th graders; and TUESDAY, September 21st for 7th and 8th graders — both starting at 2:30 in the cafeteria.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions about the Activity Fair.

  • Attention all students!  If you ever have to leave school early, please be sure to bring a note from your parents to the Main Office.  They’ll give you an Early Dismissal Pass — which you can show your teacher to get out of class.  However, you may NOT leave the school until your parents arrive to pick you up.  Just wait in the Main Office until they get here.

  • And finally — Today, September 17th, is Constitution Day – which celebrates the signing of the U.S. Constitution by our Founders at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787.  And now, for more on the significance of this enduring document, stay tuned for a CLASSIC video… from School House Rock!
