  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule.  That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class.  Again, this is an A-Day.  See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Brush your hair, wash your face, and smile for the camera!  PICTURE DAY is HERE!!!  All students with PE today will be getting their portraits taken in the Auxiliary Gym. Picture packages can be ordered ONLINE through the WMS website, or you may use the paper order forms you got in TA. Teachers are reminded that today is YOUR last chance to get your picture taken, too.  And for anyone who missed their picture day — stay tuned for more information about makeup pictures later this year.  See Ms. Wielechowski in the main office with any questions. Say cheese!!
    .
  • What are YOU doing after school this year? The WMS Activities Fair is this week — TODAY for 6th graders and TOMORROW for 7th and 8th graders — both in the cafeteria at 2:30.  Meet with coaches, club sponsors, teachers, and fellow-students to learn all about what WMS has to offer — from sports, to clubs, to academic classes.  Whatever you’re into — you’re gonna find it here!  Late buses will be provided for students with a valid pass. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
    .
  • Due to the Activity Fair, students in the after school Check-In program should meet in room 128 today and tomorrow instead of the cafeteria.  Again, Check-In will be meeting in room 128.  See Ms. Martin with any questions.
    .
  • The WMS Intramural Program begins next MONDAY during ASP 2 — and will continue throughout the year on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. All students are welcome to join in the fun, led by our AMAZING PE teachers:  Ms. Szwed and Ms. Stankus. Get ready to PLAY!!
    .
  • Calling all bi-lingual 7th and 8th graders! If you know how to read and write in any language other than English, you should take the “Credit by Exam.” It’s an easy way to earn up to FOUR high school credits.  See your grade-level counselor for more information — and be sure to register by October 4th.
    .
  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Wielechoski in the office with any questions.
    .
  • Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “Look Within.” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. Submission forms can be found in the WMS Library, and projects must be received by October 28th. Check it out!!
