- Hello, Wolf Pack! We’re so excited to be here today — coming to you LIVE from the Williamsburg Middle School TV studio.
. - Believe it or not, but our last LIVE show was actually broadcast way back in March of 2020, on Friday the 13th — which, not so coincidentally, was also the day of the Coronavirus shutdown.
. - But we’re back, baby! And better than ever!! I’m Erin.
. - And I’m Sukrit. And these are your Morning Announcements on WOLF-TV!
. - Since there’s no school on Thursday in recognition of Yom Kippur, today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. We also have WOLF TIME today — which will take place in your TA classroom. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - And now for an important announcement from the Student Services Department. Immediately following the Morning Announcements today, all students are requested to complete the online “Needs Assessment Survey.” TA teachers will provide you with the link, and the whole thing should only take about 5-minutes. Again, please complete the “Needs Assessment Survey” during TA today.
. - Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “I will change the world by…” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. Submission forms can be found in the WMS Library, and projects must be received by October 26th. Unleash your inner artist and submit to the PTA Reflections Contest today!!
. - Hey, middle schoolers! How would you like to be part of the Yorktown High School Marching Band half-time show?!?! 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are invited to perform with the award-winning Color Guard — this Friday during the football game against Oakton. To participate, just sign-up online at www.yorktownband.org. Then go to the Color Guard practice TONIGHT, learn the routine, and you’re IN! So come out to Yorktown and cheer on the Patriots to victory!!
. - What are YOU doing after school this year? WMS offers DOZENS of after-school activities for students — ranging from sports to clubs to academic classes. Whatever you’re into, you’re gonna find it here! So stop by the WMS Activities Fair — scheduled for next MONDAY, September 20th for 6th graders; and TUESDAY, September 21st for 7th and 8th graders — both starting at 2:30 in the cafeteria. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions about the Activity Fair.
. - And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! A big THANK YOU to all of our teachers and staff for hosting “Bring Your Parents to School Night” yesterday. Over a THOUSAND parents logged-on for the virtual event — and it was a HUGE success.
. - Way to go, teacher wolves!! [clap]
