  • Today, we will be following a modified “Anchor Day” schedule.  That means TA is extended until 8:50am, and then you’ll proceed to all SEVEN of your assigned classes.  So be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • And now, a few important notes about student iPads.  6th graders will be issued their new APS iPads during TA today.  Students are reminded to check your WiFi connection, make sure you can access all of your Canvas classrooms, and when you select a new PASSCODE, be sure to WRITE IT DOWN in a safe place so you don’t forget it.
    .
  • And as for our 7th and 8th graders, make sure to update the operating system on your iPad to iOS 14.7.1.  But please do the update AT HOME — because it can take a little while to download.
    .
  • And now — SPORTS!! Ultimate Frisbee is gearing up for a new season.  Both the girls AND boys team are reigning County Champions!  And this year, we’re looking for some new players to defend the title.  Whether you’ve played competitive Ultimate before, or just want to learn how to throw a frisbee — ALL are welcome to come out and play.
    .
Athletes identifying as female will begin their Ultimate season on September 13th; while athletes identifying as male will begin theirs on October 12th. See Mr. Smolinski in the gym for more information or with any questions about Ultimate.
    .
  • And a reminder for all athletes — and all sports. You MUST have a current physical on file to participate in after-school athletics. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE. For more information about getting a physical, contact Ms. Hogwood, our Activities Coordinator.
    .
  • That’s all for now, but be sure to keep tuning-in to WOLF-TV for important news, tips, and information.
    .
  • Until next time, plant the seed you want to grow, Williamsburg!!
