6/21/17 - Williamsburg

It’s the 2nd to last day of school, and students and teachers have a lot to do before tomorrow’s final bell. First off, rehearsal for the 8th grade Promotion Ceremony begins at 8 a.m. this morning. All 8th grade TAs should proceed to the gym immediately following the Morning Announcements — there’s a LOT to go over before the big event.

Locker clean-outs are underway — and should be COMPLETE by the end-of-the-day! Students are reminded to RECYCLE as much as possible. Also, TAs are encouraged to collect any NEW or LIGHTLY USED school supplies — which can be donated to deserving students next year.

Just two weeks ago, the WMS library had nearly ONE THOUSAND overdue books. But as of this morning — that number is all the way down 300! Great job, everybody — but we still need the rest. All library books must be returned to the library as soon as possible. So check your lockers, your backpacks, and under you bed at home — and BRING IN YOUR BOOKS!

The WMS clinic is reminding all students to pick-up their medications by THURSDAY. Parents can come in themselves, or write a note authorizing YOU to get the medicine. Any medication NOT picked up by the last day of school will be discarded. See the school nurse with any questions.

Have you checked the lost and found lately? There are literally HUNDREDS of jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and so much more. Be sure to take a look this week — you may just find some long lost treasure! Anything not claimed by THURSDAY will be donated… or discarded.
