  • The SOLs roll-on here at WMS — with make-up testing for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to take place in the library this morning.  But for the rest of the school — we will be following a NORMAL class schedule today.  Students who are scheduled for an “SOL make-up” should report to the library immediately following the Morning Announcements.
    .
A few reminders for Test-takers:  may ONLY bring your fully-charged iPad, a pencil or pen, a book to read, and earbuds ONLY if you have an approved audio accommodation for the test. You may NOT bring: backpacks or cinch sacks; any other electronic devises such as phones, watches, game consoles and the like; nor any water or snacks. And of course, there is zero tolerance for CHEATING.
    .
And for all those students who are NOT testing today — please remember to be quiet and respectful in the halls. Teachers will be monitoring the hallways to ensure that there are no disruptions. Any other questions or concerns? Check with your teachers or grade level counselors. Good luck on your SOLs, wolves!
    .
  • And now for an important announcement from our school librarians.  The end-of-the-year is fast approaching — and that means it’s time for ALL library books to be returned. TA teachers will be distributing OVERDUE notices this morning — and students are asked to leave their books on the “return carts” outside of the cafeteria and library. So look in your backpack, your locker, and under your bed at home — and BRING IN YOUR BOOKS!
    .
  • Listen up, 8th graders! It’s time to say “goodbye” to your iPads. That’s right — TA teachers will be collecting your iPads during Wolf Time this morning. So turn-in your iPad, case, and charger. And if you forgot anything at home — bring it in TOMORROW!! See Ms. Solomon with any questions.
    .
  • The WMS Kindness Club will be holding its last meeting of the year TODAY during ASP 1 in the cafeteria. Members will be working on their final community service project, so please get there right away.  See Mr. Johnson, Ms. Schaefer, or Ms. Zeller with any questions.
    .
  • Calling all student-athletes! If you played a school sport this year — you MUST return your team uniform AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Please bring them to Ms. Hogwood’s office, located across from the auditorium. Again, all team uniforms must be returned before the end-of-the-year.
    .
  • Attention all students! TODAY is the final day for the after school “late bus.” So if you’re staying after school next week, you MUST arrange your own transportation home.  Again, there will be NO late bus service after today.
    .
  • And now for an important announcement about WOLFBOT robotics! Students who would like to participate on next year’s robotics team should come to an informational meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in the robotics lab — room 132.  See Mr. Dudek with any questions.
    .
  • Winner winner, chicken dinner! The annual 8th grade CASINO NIGHT is this FRIDAY — June 8th at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria. There will be table games, prizes, dancing, selfies, delicious food, and of course hanging out with your best friends. Feel free to dress up — or dress down — but either way: follow the dress code. Casino Night at WMS — get in on the fun!!
