The SOLs keep rolling along! Today, all 6th and 7th graders will be taking the Math SOL — while all 8th graders attend “team time.” The test will run from 8 to 11:02am.

And here’s some more information about the test: 6th and 7th graders have been assigned to several testing locations throughout the school. Just check with your TA teacher if you’re unsure where to go.

The ONLY materials you may have with you are your iPad, a bottle of water, and a book. NO OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES are allowed — no phones, smart watches, e-readers, nor anything else.

As for our 8th graders, you’ll be spending the morning in your “team time” location. And when you’re walking through the halls, we ask that you please be quiet and considerate of our test-takers. Thanks for your help, wolves — and good luck on the test, 6th and 7th graders!!

To accommodate the testing period, we will be following a MODIFIED B-Day schedule. Once the test is over, students will proceed to periods 2, 4, 5, and 6. And don’t forget that you should go back to your TA classroom for Wolf Time. See your TA teacher for more information about the modified B-Day schedule.

Winner winner, chicken dinner! The annual 8th grade CASINO NIGHT is scheduled for TONIGHT from 6 to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria. There will be table games, dancing, selfies, delicious food, AMAZING prizes, and of course, hanging out with your best friends. Casino Night at WMS — get in on the fun!!

And now for a technology tip from Ms. Solomon! It’s almost time to turn-in your iPads! In preparation, all students are asked to please make sure you have a LABEL on your iPad case. The label should clearly display your NAME and Williamsburg Middle School.

This is really important for 6th and 7th graders to make sure you get your device back next year; and for 8th graders to make sure you’ve turned in your iPad before going off to high school. If you don’t have a label, you may get one from the Main Office. AND DON’T PICK IT OFF!!!

And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! There are a lot of AMAZING students here at WMS — and you deserve to be recognized! Teachers from every grade and every team have identified a distinguished group of students to receive this month’s Wolves With Character Award — for demonstrating outstanding “Perseverance” in their daily lives.

The winners will be notified at lunch today — and you’ll be getting a certificate and a SWEET TREAT for doing such a great job. Congratulations, wolves with character!! [clap].
