  • We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  Today is PROMOTION DAY here at WMS.  After three years of hard work and sacrifice, our 8th graders are preparing to move-on to high school — and the next chapter in their lives.  On behalf of the entire Williamsburg community, we’d just like to say — good job and good luck, class of 2018!!
    .
And now for some details about today’s event:  The 8th grade Promotion Ceremony is scheduled to begin at 8:30 this morning.  Rising 9th graders should start lining up outside of the gym at 8 o’clock — immediately following the morning announcements. Student families have been issues TWO tickets each for the ceremony.  Any additional guests are invited to the school Auditorium to watch a televised broadcast of the event.
    .
Classroom teachers are also encouraged to watch the ceremony.  It will be streaming LIVE on the school’s Morning Announcement channel, WOLF-TV.  Just follow the VLC link on your computer and click PLAY.   Following the Promotion, there will be an informal reception in the front courtyard for our graduates and their families.  Be sure to drop by and say goodbye!
    .
  • As for the rest of the school, we will be following a NORMAL class schedule today.  But students are asked to please be responsible and respectful in the halls this morning during the Promotion ceremony.  There will be HUNDREDS of parents, community members, and APS officials in attendance — so be sure to represent yourselves with PRIDE!
    .
  • Did you forget to buy a WMS Yearbook this year?  Then you’re in luck!  There are a limited number of 2017-2018 yearbooks still on sale for just 40-dollars each.  But they’re going to go FAST, so bring a check or cash to the main office as soon as possible.  See Ms. Briones with any questions.  Don’t miss out on the memories!!
    .
  • And now for an important announcement from our school librarians!  There are still a TON of overdue books out there — and they all MUST be returned before the end-of-the-year.  Overdue notices are now being emailed home — and students ARE responsible for paying a fine if their books are not returned. So look in your backpack, your locker, and under your bed at home — and BRING IN YOUR LIBRARY BOOKS!
    .
  • Have you checked the lost and found lately? There are literally HUNDREDS of jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and so much more. Be sure to take a look — you may just find some long lost treasures! Anything not claimed by next Tuesday will be donated… or discarded.
    .
  • This is a reminder from the School Clinic that all student medications MUST be picked-up by WEDNESDAY of this week.  Any unclaimed prescriptions will be discarded.  Students must have a note from home if they want to pick-up the medications themselves — otherwise, please ask your parents to stop by.  See the school nurse with any questions.
