- We begin with an important announcement from the WMS Yearbook staff! Today, teachers have received all of the “yearbook claim tickets” for their TA students. These tickets will be passed out on FRIDAY, at which time students can claim their copy.
.
Only students with a claim ticket will receive a yearbook. So if your teacher doesn’t have a ticket for you — or if you have any other questions abut the yearbook — please see Ms. Kontos in room 137.
. - Speaking of yearbook, there’s an exciting opportunity for our current 7th — and soon-to-be 8th graders that you NEED to know about. Yearbook is now being offered as an actual CLASS for the 2019-2020 school year — and there’s PLENTY of space for interested students. You’ll be taking pictures, learning graphic design, and creating a keepsake for the ages. Interested students are encouraged to drop by the Library Classroom and speak to Mr. Schonfeld for more information — THIS WEEK during TA, lunch, or after school — as you’ll need to request a schedule change. The WMS Yearbook — Be a Part of the Pride!!
. - Calling all MUNners! Please check Google Classroom ASAP for details about the big Model UN End-of-the-Year Party — coming this Friday, June 14th. You won’t want to miss the fun! See Mrs. Carlson with any questions.
. - Attention student-athletes! Team uniforms for ALL sports MUST be returned to Ms. Hogwood in the Activities Office as soon as possible. Any student who does NOT return their uniform will be charged for a replacement — so if you don’t want to pay, turn it in TODAY! See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - Did you have a piece in this year’s Scholastic Art Competition? Students whose work was on display are reminded to pick-up their art work before the end of the school year. You may claim your creative masterpieces from the art room before school, during wolf time, or after school. See Mr. Skrzypek with any questions.
. - And now for a technology tip from Ms. Solomon! 8th graders STILL HAVE TIME to return their school issued power adapters and USB cables. Just bring them to your TA teacher or Ms. Solomon and your account will be cleared. Invoices for missing equipment are scheduled to be sent to 8th grade families soon — so return your tech ASAP!!
. - And now for an important message from our school librarians. All overdue library books MUST be returned AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! There are still HUNDREDS of overdue books out there —318, to be precise — and the library needs them back. So look in your backpack, your locker, and under your bed at home — and BRING IN YOUR BOOKS!
