- Today, we will be administering the MAP Growth assessment in Reading to the entire school. To accommodate the test, we will be following a modified B-Day schedule. That means TA ends at 8am, the test goes until 9:30, and then you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — but there is NO Wolf Time. Again, this is a modified B-Day with no Wolf Time. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - And here’s a little more information about the MAP test. Most students will remain in their TA for the test unless otherwise directed by your TA teacher. All you need is your iPad, but you may also have a pencil, a water bottle, and a book to read for when you’re finished. No phones, earbuds, smart watches, nor any other electronic devices are allowed. See your TA teacher with any other questions. And good luck on the test!!
. - And speaking of testing, did you know that MOST students will finish their tests BEFORE time expires? And that once you’re finished, you are NOT allowed to use your iPad? So you need to plan ahead! Students are encouraged to stop by the library and check-out a good book! It’s too late for today’s test; but you can still get one later for all the other tests later this month. You’ll be glad you did! See our school librarians for a recommendation.
. - Calling all MUNNERS!! The Model UN Club is meeting TODAY in room C105 during ASP I. Participants will review last weekend’s conference at TJ, and prepare for your own “mini-crisis simulation.” See Mr. McDermott with any questions.
. - Attention all students! Starting this week, the late bus will ONLY be operating on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. There is NO LONGER a late bus on Wednesdays. So make sure you’ve got a plan for getting home. Once again, the late bus NO LONGER runs on Wednesdays. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - Attention Anime Club! All spring showcase submissions are due at the next club meeting this WEDNESDAY during ASP 1 in Room 109. If you are unable to attend the meeting but still wish to submit artwork, please email your digital files to Evie, and bring your paper pieces to next week’s meeting. Contact Ms. Armistead with any questions.
. - Give a Helping Hand to a four-legged friend! The WMS Helping Hands Club is wrapping-up the school year with its favorite project: a supply drive for the Animal Welfare League of Arlington! From now through Friday, students and staff are encouraged to donate dog toys, pet food, leashes, or anything else on the “wishlist” posted around school. The collection bin will be located in the main lobby. Thanks for supporting the Animal Welfare League, and for helping their pets in need!!
. - The WMS Spring musical — Legally Blonde, Jr. — premieres THIS WEEK in the school auditorium: Thursday and Friday evenings at 7pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door for just 5-dollars — cash only. It’s going to be an AMAZING show! See Ms. Mac for more information. And to everyone in the cast and crew: BREAK A LEG!!!
