  • We’re starting today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  The WMS Spring musical — Shrek, Jr. — premiered last night, and it was a SMASH HIT!!

    Congratulations to Ms. Mac, Ms. McTavish, and the entire cast and crew for working so hard and putting on such a great show.  Way to go, theater wolves!!! [clap]

    And if you missed “Shrek, Jr.” last night — you have TWO MORE CHANCES to see it.  Tonight at 7pm and Saturday at 2pm. Tickets are just 3-dollars each.  You can get them online through the Williamsburg website.  See Ms. Mac for more information.  And we hope you enjoy the show!!

  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with our WMS journalism and film department!  Yesterday was the 12th annual Arlington Student FilmFest, and the Wolves did an AMAZING job!  TWENTY films from WMS were nominated, and THREE films took home the top prize in their categories!
    .
    Our first place winners were 8th graders Kat T., Alice H., Henry S., and Sofia S; and 7th grader Mason M. Plus, big props again to Mason for winning top Director, and to 8th grader Jones T. for winning top Producer. Congratulations to ALL of our contestants, and for making such great movies all year long.  Way to go, filmmaker wolves!! [clap]

  • Wolf Pack Pride wraps up with the Virginia Junior Academy of Science. Good luck to all of our 7th and 8th graders who will be competing in the VJAS Research Symposium this weekend, hosted via Zoom by the College of Williams and Mary.

  • Calling all BALLERS!!  The Head Coach of the Yorktown Boys Basketball Team is here today to meet with prospective players. So if you’re an 8th grader and interested in trying out for the Yorktown Boys Basketball team next year, please tell your TA teacher and proceed to the cafeteria RIGHT NOW to meet with the coach.  Once again, the Yorktown Boys Basketball interest meeting is RIGHT NOW in the cafeteria.

  • Attention all students!  Everyone should bring your iPad to Health and PE this week for your 4th quarter Counseling presentation.  Once again, please bring your iPad to Health and PE.  See your PE teacher with any questions.

  • Who wants COOKIES and CAKE??? There will be a bake sale fundraiser next MONDAY after school — sponsored by your friends and classmates in the local chapter of the Girl Scouts! Students are encouraged to stop by and get a sweet treat.  And if you like the event, you may even consider joining the Girl Scouts yourself!  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.  And thanks for supporting the Girl Scouts!
