Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon! In preparation for the SOLs, we need to make sure that everyone’s iPad is working. So in TA this week, TA teachers will be conducting a TestNav check on all student devices. If you discover any problems, please submit the online “Student Tech Help Request” form through the WMS website. Ms. Solomon’s got the solution to getting you back online!

And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Carey in the office with any questions.

Have you ordered your class t-shirt yet? All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are reminded to go online and register for a FREE class t-shirt. All T-shirts are ADULT sizes, and the deadline to order is Monday, May 9th. If you miss the deadline, you’ll still get a shirt BUT it might not be the right size. Also, if you ordered your shirt on Monday, you MUST order it again because they were all deleted. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

The WMS Track and Field team is gearing-up for the County Tournament! First up — TODAY is the “field portion” of the event. Long and High jumpers are reminded to eat during the 6th grade lunch period, and then take the bus to Kenmore at 11:30. The “running portion” of the tournament is scheduled for next Tuesday. Good luck, jumping wolves!!

And finally — it’s Cinco de Mayo, a time of celebration going back over 150 years! But do you actually know WHY people are celebrating?
