• Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

• The WMS Spring musical — Shrek, Jr. — premieres TONIGHT at 7pm in the school auditorium. Tickets are on sale NOW for just 3-dollars each.  You can get them online through the Williamsburg website.  Additional performances are scheduled for Friday at 7 and Saturday at 2pm.  See Ms. Mac for more information.  And to everyone in the cast and crew: BREAK A LEG!!!

• Attention all students!  Everyone should bring your iPad to Health and PE this week for your 4th quarter Counseling presentation.  Once again, please bring your iPad to Health and PE.  See your PE teacher with any questions.

• Calling all baseball fans!  Who’s your pick for the MVP this year?  How about the Cy Young?  And which team is going to win the World Series?  If you’re a baseball expert and would like to participate in a new WOLF-TV baseball prediction show, we want to hear from YOU!  Just complete the online GoogleForm located in the Morning Announcements Blog on the WMS website — and our student-reporters will contact you with details.  Play ball!!

• Calling all BALLERS!!  The Head Coach of the Yorktown Boys Basketball Team is coming to Williamsburg on FRIDAY to meet with prospective players. So if you’re an 8th grader and interested in trying out for the Yorktown Boys Basketball team next year, please go to the cafeteria this Friday at 7:55 — just be sure to check-in with your TA teacher first.

• This June, WMS is celebrating Pride Month to support our LGBTQIA+ students and staff.  In preparation, we are holding a t-shirt fundraiser — with all proceeds going to the “It Gets Better” campaign.  But TODAY is your LAST CHANCE to participate.  Just go to the online Spirit Store on the WMS website to place your order, or see Ms. Hogwood with any questions.  Thanks for supporting Pride Month!

• Do you like candy? Then you’re in luck! The WMS Check-in Program will be selling candy after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays in the main lobby and in front of the cafeteria.  All proceeds will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society — an organization that helps kids with cancer.  So be sure to stop by for a sweet treat every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  See Ms. Kia with any questions. • Who wants COOKIES and CAKE??? There will be a bake sale fundraiser next MONDAY after school — sponsored by your friends and classmates in the local chapter of the Girl Scouts! Students are encouraged to stop by and get a sweet treat.  And if you like the event, you may even consider joining the Girl Scouts yourself!  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.  And thanks for supporting the Girl Scouts!
