• Today we will be following the “anchor” C-Day schedule.  That means you’ll be attending periods 1 through 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And remember, there is NO Wolf Time today.  Again, this is an “anchor” C-Day.  See your TA teacher with any questions.

• There are NO SOLs scheduled for today — but there ARE for tomorrow.  Eighth graders will be taking their World Geography SOL on Thursday. In preparation, test-takers are reminded to charge their iPads, get a good night’s sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast.  You want to be at your best for the test!

• The Yorktown Color Guard would like to invite rising 8th and 9th graders to their second Open House Practice — scheduled for THURSDAY from 6 to 8pm at the YHS Main Entrance.  The Color Guard combines music, dance, flag and sabre spinning in a fast-paced and spirited performance.  If you’d like to attend the Color Guard Open House, please complete the online “Interest Form” located on the Morning Announcements Blog — or just show up!  All are welcome!

• The WMS Helping Hands Club needs your help!  Today is the LAST DAY to contribute to Comfort Cases — a charitable organization committed to helping foster children in times of need. To participate, please donate teen pajamas, board books, or anything else you can spare.  Collection bins are located in the Main Lobby. Thanks for your help, wolves!!

• We’ve got spirit, yes we do, we’ve got spirit, how about you?!  The 2022 Pep Rally is scheduled for this Friday in the main gym.  But we still need participants — and TODAY is your LAST CHANCE to sign-up.  Just complete the online form in your WMS Student Info Page in Canvas. Even if you signed up previously, do it AGAIN just to be safe.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions, and sign up for the Pep Rally today!!

• How would you like to get a sweet treat AND do a good deed at the same time!?  WMS will be holding a “Bake Sale Fundraiser” on FRIDAY after school — outside of the cafeteria and by the front entrance.  All money raised will be donated to Clothesline — a charitable organization that helps Arlington families-in-need by supplying free clothing to school-aged children.  It’s a great cause — and together we can make a difference!

• And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!  Congratulations to the WMS Band program — which performed its final concert of the year last night.  It was an AMAZING show.  Big props to the Jazz Band, the Concert Band and the Percussion Ensemble.  You worked hard all year, and it really showed!

  Plus, the band raised HUNDREDS of dollars from its bake sale — which will go to support the music program next year.  Way to go, musical wolves!! [clap]
