• Today we will be following the B-Day schedule.  That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class.  Again, this is a B-Day.  See your TA teacher with any questions.

  Also, please be aware that EVERYONE should go to their TA classroom for Wolf Time.  There is a special Canvas course that you’ll be completing over the next 2-weeks.  Once again, remember to go to your TA for Wolf Time.
  .
• The SOLs just keep rolling along!  Today, students will be taking a “make-up” test in the Library starting right after TA.  Your teacher will notify you if you need to take the make-up SOL.
  .
  That also means that the library will be CLOSED until testing is complete.  And students are asked to please be quiet and respectful when walking through the hall near the library — we don’t want to disturb the test-takers.  Thanks for your help, wolves, and good luck on the test!

• The Yorktown Color Guard would like to invite rising 8th and 9th graders to their Open House Practices — scheduled for TONIGHT and THURSDAY from 6 to 8pm at the YHS Main Entrance.  The Color Guard combines music, dance, flag and sabre spinning in a fast-paced and spirited performance.  If you’d like to attend the Color Guard Open House, please complete the online “Interest Form” located on the Morning Announcements Blog — or just show up!  All are welcome!

• The WMS Helping Hands Club needs your help!  Students and staff are asked to contribute to Comfort Cases — a charitable organization committed to helping foster children in times of need. To participate, please donate teen pajamas, board books, or anything else you can spare.  Collection bins are located in the Main Lobby, and donations will be accepted until this Wednesday.  Thanks for your help, wolves!!

• The WMS Band will be performing its final concert TONIGHT in the auditorium at 7pm — including the Jazz Band, Concert Bands, and Percussion Ensemble! It’s a FREE event — so everyone is encouraged to come out and enjoy the show!  Plus, there will be a bake sale following the concert to support the music program. Hooray for music!!

• We’ve got spirit, yes we do, we’ve got spirit, how about you?!  The 2022 Pep Rally is scheduled for this Friday in the main gym.  But we still need participants!  Sign-ups for the Pep Rally have been extended until TOMORROW at 3pm.  Even if you signed up previously, everyone who’d like to be a part of the event is asked to complete the online form in your WMS student info page in canvas.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions, and sign up for the Pep Rally today!!

• Attention all Model UN participants: Please stop by room C105 after school today to say “hello” to Mr. McDermott as we close the book on a very successful year.  He hopes to see you there, and for one last time — congrats, MUNNER wolves!!

• finally, the Morning Announcements on WOLF-TV have become a tradition here at Williamsburg — and has been recognized with numerous honors and awards over the years.
