  • Today we will be following the C-Day schedule.  That means you’ll be attending periods 1 through 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And remember, there is NO Wolf Time today.  Again, this is a C-Day.  See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • The SOLs are about to begin!  Tomorrow morning, the entire school will be taking the READING SOL.  In preparation, students are reminded to charge their iPads, get a good night’s sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast.  You want to be at your best for the test! See your counselor or TA teacher with any other questions about tomorrow’s test. And good luck!!
    .
  • And speaking of the SOLs, please be aware that NO other electronics will be allowed during testing — including phones, smartwatches, air pods, e-readers, or ANYTHING else.  So you might want to bring a BOOK in case you finish early.  Be sure to stop by the WMS library today and ask our librarians for a good recommendation.
    .
  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Hwang!  Since you’ll be using your iPad for the upcoming SOLs, it needs to be working!  If you are having any problems with your school-issued iPad — whether it’s password problems, not connecting to the internet, glitching apps, cracked screens, or ANYTHING else — please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. They’ll have you back online in no time!!
    .
  • Calling all 7th and 8th graders! The Yorktown Colorguard is now recruiting new members for its upcoming Fall season. Colorguard combines music, dance, flag, and sabre spinning in a fast-paced and spirited performance. Interested students are encouraged to attend the Colorguard open house this TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY from 6 to 9pm at the Yorktown main entrance.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • Spirit Week, May 2024We’ve got spirit, yes we do, we’ve got spirit, how about YOU?! It’s SPIRIT WEEK here at WMS!  Thanks to all the students and staff who showed their school spirit and dressed up for today’s theme:  PAJAMA DAY!!
    .
And here’s the rundown for the rest of the week: Tuesday is Twin Day; Wednesday is Favorite Color Day; Thursday is Sports Day; and Friday is Class Colors Day — 6th grade blue, 7th grade white, and 8th grade black.
    .
Ms. Hogwood will be monitoring your participation — and the grade with the most school spirit all week long will be awarded an additional 500 points at the Pep Rally this Friday. So get into the school spirit for Spirit Week — and be a part of the Wolf Pack Pride!!
    .
  • And finally —- What do you wanna be when you grow up???
    .
It’s never too soon to start planning for your future.  Student-reporters Simon, Olivia, and Abby have the story.
