  • It’s time for the SOLs — take TWO!!  Cross your fingers that the WiFi is working today — as all students in all grades will be taking the Reading SOL.  The test will go from 8 to 10:30am. Once it’s complete, we will be following a MODIFIED A-Day schedule.  That means you’ll be going to periods 1, 3, 5, and 7.  See your TA teacher with any questions about the modified A-Day schedule.
    .
  • And here’s some more information about the test:  Most students will take the Reading SOL in their TA classrooms.  But if you’re testing in a different location, your TA teacher will tell you where to go.  The ONLY materials you may have with you are your iPad, a bottle of water, and a book.  NO OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES are allowed — no phones, smart watches, e-readers, nor anything else. Good luck on the SOL, wolves!!

  • We’ve got spirit, yes we do, we’ve got spirit, how about you??? Sign-ups for the 2022 WMS Pep Rally are now OPEN.  The link is posted in Canvas on the Student Info Page, and on the WMS website. But don’t delay! Sign-ups will close this Friday — and you’ll find out if you’ve been selected on May 24th.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • The WMS Helping Hands Club needs your help!  From now through May 25th, students and staff are asked to contribute to Comfort Cases — a charitable organization committed to helping foster children in times of need. To participate, please donate teen pajamas, board books, or anything else you can spare.  Collection bins are located in the Main Lobby.  Thanks for your help, wolves!!

  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch.  Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus!  See Ms. Carey in the office with any questions.
