  • We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE! HUNDREDS of rising 6th graders visited WMS from local elementary schools yesterday. You may have seen them roaming the halls, or popping-in to classrooms throughout the day. Well, the event was a HUGE success — and it was only made possibly by the hard work and contributions of our students and staff.
    .
A big THANK YOU to the 7th grade tour guides; to the music program, cheerleaders, and drama club for their performances; to the teachers whose classrooms were “invaded”; to the counselors and the admin for organizing; and of course — to ALL of our students for making the kids feel welcome in our school. Way to go, wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • Wolves with Character -- MarchUp next, it’s time for the monthly Wolves with Character award! Just take a look at the screen to see all the deserving honorees from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades — all of whom were chosen by their teachers for demonstrating outstanding TRUSTWORTHINESS in their daily lives.
    .
Congratulations, wolves with character! [clap] Be sure to stop by room 110 during your grade-level lunch TODAY and pick up your free pizza!
    .
  • “Every HERO needs a squad!!” The WMS Check-In Program is holding a big fundraiser this month — Pennies for Patients. This national campaign benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which is working to find a cure for blood cancer. Pennies for Patients will run for the next 3-weeks, with the goal of raising 5-THOUSAND dollars.
    .
And here’s a little extra motivation for you: whichever TA collects the most money will get a free pizza and ice cream party!! Plus, Check-In will be selling CANDY and CHIPS after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays — and TODAY they’re selling PIZZA for just a couple bucks a slice outside of the cafeteria and by the main lobby.  See Ms. Kia with any questions, and remember — every penny counts!!
    .
  • Sister Circle will be a meeting this THURSDAY in room 201 during ASP 1. Members and allies are encouraged to come out for a little Girl Talk — and a lot of fun activities! See Ms. Cameron with any questions about Sister Circle.
    .
  • Curious about the world, its places, and peoples? Then come to the Geo Club — TODAY during ASP 1 in room WW 9. You’ll learn about the different cultures and people that make WMS so unique. See Mr. Miller with any questions.
    .
  • Get ready for a rockin’ good show! The WMS Theater Department is set to premiere its Spring musical: Alice in Wonderland, Jr!! — TONIGHT in the auditorium at 7 p.m — with additional shows on FRIDAY and Saturday.  Tickets are just 4-dollars for students — 6-dollars for adults — and 1-dollar for seniors. Come see your friends and classmates in the performance of the year — and be a part of the PRIDE!!
  • One more important announcement about Alice in Wonderland, Jr. — all 8th graders in the show are asked to report to the auditorium THIS MORNING — IMMEDIATELY following the morning announcements.  Mr. Brown has a special assignment for you.  Again, 8th graders in the play should got to the theater at 8 o’clock.
