  • Wolves with Character -- MarchWe begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE! There are a lot of AMAZING students here at WMS. And you deserve to be recognized! Teachers from every grade and every team have identified a distinguished group of students to receive this month’s Wolves With Character Award — for demonstrating outstanding “Trustworthiness” in their daily lives.
    .
Just take a look at the screen to see all the deserving honorees from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Congratulations, wolves with character!! [clap]. Be sure to stop by room 110 during your grade-level lunch on THURSDAY — you’ve earned yourself some free pizza!
    .
  • The 5th graders are coming — the 5th graders are coming!!!  Hundreds of kids from area elementary schools will be visiting WMS today — to get a tour of their future school.  You may see them in the halls, the cafeteria, or even peeking into your classroom.
    .
Please do your best to represent our community with PRIDE — and help to make these “young-ins” feel at home.  And a reminder to all 7th grade tour guides — be sure to report to the auditorium this morning at 9:40.  See Ms. Schaefer with any questions.
    .
  • “Every HERO needs a squad!!” The WMS Check-In Program is holding a big fundraiser this month — Pennies for Patients. This national campaign benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which is working to find a cure for blood cancer. Pennies for Patients will run for the next 3-weeks, with the goal of raising 5-THOUSAND dollars.
    .
And here’s a little extra motivation for you: whichever TA collects the most money will get a free pizza and ice cream party!! Plus, Check-In will be selling CANDY and CHIPS after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays — and TOMORROW they’re selling PIZZA for just a couple bucks a slice.  See Ms. Kia with any questions, and remember — every penny counts!!
    .
  • Get ready for a rockin’ good show! The WMS Theater Department is set to premiere its Spring musical: Alice in Wonderland, Jr!! — this Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the auditorium. Tickets are just 4-dollars for students — 6-dollars for adults — and 1-dollar for seniors. Come see your friends and classmates in the performance of the year — and be a part of the PRIDE!!
    .

    .
  • Listen up, book-lovers!  The WMS Book Club will be meeting TODAY during all grade-level lunches in room 135A.  This month’s featured title is “Dear Martin” by New York Times best-selling author: Nic Stone.
