  • Listen up, wolves!  On Friday, all grade-level students will be attending a special assembly during their elective periods:  8th grade at 8:40, 7th grade at 11 a.m.; and 6th grade at 1 p.m.  This event is sponsored by the Williamsburg Anti-Vaping Task Force — and we’ll be having a blunt and honest discussion about the risks of vaping.  A special note to our 6th and 7th graders — your assembly will be an INTERACTIVE show, so everyone is asked to please bring your iPad. See your grade-level counselor with any questions.
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!  HUNDREDS of rising 6th graders visited WMS from local elementary schools yesterday. You may have seen them roaming the halls, or popping-in to classrooms throughout the day. Well, the event was a HUGE success — and it was only made possible by the hard work and contributions of our students and staff.
    .
A big THANK YOU to the 7th grade tour guides; to the music program, cheerleaders, and drama club for their performances; to the teachers whose classrooms were “invaded”; to the counselors and the admin for organizing; and of course — to ALL of our students for making the kids feel welcome in our school. Way to go, wolves!! [clap]

  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Track Team — who defeated Kenmore Middle School on the home field this Tuesday.  With the win, your Wolves are now a perfect 2-and-0 to start the season!  Way to go, running wolves!! [clap]. The Track Team will try to keep their winning ways going TODAY when they match up in an away game against Swanson Middle School.  So let’s root them on to victory, and Be a Part of the Pride!

  • “Every HERO needs a squad!!” Just ONE WEEK remains for the Pennies for Patients fundraiser — sponsored by the WMS Check-In Program — with a goal of raising 5-THOUSAND dollars. This national campaign benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which is working to find a cure for blood cancer.  And here’s a little extra motivation for you: whichever TA collects the most money will get a free pizza and ice cream party!! Plus, Check-In will be selling CANDY and CHIPS after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
    .
  • But that’s not all — RAFFLE BASKETS are back!! From now until next Tuesday during all grade-level lunches, students and staff can enter to win an assortment of AMAZING raffle baskets.  Tickets are just one dollar each — and if your ticket is pulled, you get the ENTIRE basket!  Winners will be announced next Wednesday — May 1st — during the morning announcements. Good luck!  And remember, all proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society — and every penny counts!

    .
  • Calling all officers and reps in the WMS SCA! There will be an important meeting TODAY after school during ASP1 in room 215. Please see Mr. Tagert or Mr. Peacock with any questions.

  • And now an important announcement for all student-athletes who participated in Boys and Girls BASKETBALL, SOCCER, and CHEERLEADING this year.  Now that your seasons are complete, it’s time to turn-in your uniforms!  Please make sure they are CLEAN — and then bring them to Ms. Hogwood’s office as soon as you can.
