  • The 5th graders are coming — the 5th graders are coming!!! Hundreds of kids from area elementary schools will be visiting WMS today — to get a tour of their future school. You may see them in the halls, the cafeteria, or even peeking into your classroom.  Please do your best to represent our community with PRIDE — and help to make these “young-ins” feel at home. And a reminder to all 7th grade tour guides — be sure to report to the auditorium this morning at 9:40. See Ms. Schaefer with any questions.
    .
  • Today’s event will also feature a number of performances from Williamsburg students.  Members of the WMS Band, Chorus, and Spring Musical will all be presenting their “greatest hits” for the rising 6th graders today.  Students in the music program should report to the auditorium at 9:30, while students in the Spring Musical should report at 11:45.  See Mr. Woodson, Ms. McTavish, or Mr. Brown with any questions.  Break a leg!

  • “Every HERO needs a squad!!” Just ONE WEEK remains for the Pennies for Patients fundraiser — sponsored by the WMS Check-In Program — with a goal of raising 5-THOUSAND dollars. This national campaign benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which is working to find a cure for blood cancer.  And here’s a little extra motivation for you: whichever TA collects the most money will get a free pizza and ice cream party!! Plus, Check-In will be selling CANDY and CHIPS after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
    .
  • But that’s not all — RAFFLE BASKETS are back!! From now until next Tuesday during all grade-level lunches, students and staff can enter to win an assortment of AMAZING raffle baskets.  Tickets are just one dollar each — and if your ticket is pulled, you get the ENTIRE basket!  Winners will be announced next Wednesday — May 1st — during the morning announcements. Good luck!  And remember, all proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society — and every penny counts!

  • Today is the TAB field trip!  Participants should come to the library at 9 o’clock this morning.  And be sure to bring your Marcus Vega book — so you’ll be prepared when you meet the author himself!  Students should also bring their lunches — because you’ll be eating lunch late in the library when you return this afternoon.  See Ms. Lord with any questions.
    .
  • Sister Circle will be meeting on THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 201. Members and allies are encouraged to come out for a little Girl Talk — and a lot of fun activities! Plus, there will be a SPECIAL GUEST joining you — and free snacks! — so be sure to get their on time.  See Ms. Cameron with any questions.

  • Calling all officers and reps in the WMS SCA! There will be an important meeting this THURSDAY after school during ASP1 in room 215. Please see Mr. Tagert or Mr. Peacock with any questions.
