- It’s a new month here at WMS — but we’ve still got some old business to take care of. Listen up, everybody, because the results are IN for the College Trivia Challenge!!
.
Nearly 50 TAs competed in the contest — but there’s no doubt about our winners. The following TAs scored a PERFECT 12-out-of-12 on the quiz, AND had the fastest time in each grade. The winners are…
— in 6th grade: Ms. Teixeira’s TA!
— in 7th grade: Mr. Seeger’s TA!
— and in 8th grade: Mr. McDermott’s TA!
.
Congratulations to all of our winning TAs — your WOLF PAWS are in the mail. And thanks to EVERYONE for participating in our College Awareness activities.
.
And don’t forget — there’s still ONE MORE event to go! The TA Door Decorating Contest has been EXTENDED until this WEDNESDAY. That gives you plenty of time to highlight your TA teacher’s alma mater. The Student Services Staff will then tour the school on THURSDAY and select one winner from each grade, awarding WOLF PAWS to the best of the best.
.
So get decorating, wolves, and let’s get PUMPED about COLLEGE!!
. - And now for an IMPORTANT REMINDER about campus safety. For now on, door number-10 will ONLY be unlocked for 5-minutes before and 5-minutes after class change. If you miss this window, please go to door number-6 across from Discovery to get buzzed in. Again, door number-10 will now remain LOCKED throughout the day — except during class change. So especially all you 8th graders coming in from the trailers — DON’T BE LATE FOR CLASS!
. - Want to make some music? The WMS Symphony Club will be meeting TODAY during ASP 1 and 2 in room C105. This “melodious” group is composed of band, orchestra, and chorus members — and it’s open to EVERYONE with a love of music. So check it out! See Ms. Tuttle with any questions.
. - The Technology Student Association — otherwise known as the TSA Club — will NOT be meeting today. But meetings will resume as normal next week. See Mr. Dudek with any questions.
. - Calling all MUNers! The WMS Model UN Club will be holding a MANDATORY meeting this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 202 for all students participating in the upcoming ADMUN and TECHMUN conferences. See Ms. Carlson with any questions.
. - And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Argenal in the office with any questions.
