  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Believe it or not, but this FRIDAY is the LAST DAY of the 3rd quarter! So be sure to check your Canvas “To Do” list for unfinished assignments, and the Canvas “Calendar” for upcoming projects and tests.  And contact your teachers — either in person or through email — if you have any questions about your grade. Let’s finish the quarter strong, wolves!!

  • Do you like candy??? Do you like donuts??? Then you’re in luck!  The WMS check-in program is selling CANDY all month long — every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school by the cafeteria.  Plus, they’ll have DONUTS every Friday! Candy costs between 1 and 3-dollars, and donuts are 2-dollars, so be sure to bring some cash.  All money raised will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society — an organization that helps kids with cancer.  See Ms. Kia with any questions.  And thanks for your support, wolves!

  • How cool was that solar eclipse on Monday?? All of us here at Williamsburg were very fortunate to have “solar glasses” so that we could view it safely.  And now, those glasses can help someone else!
    .
Next October, there will be a solar eclipse in Latin America.  Students and staff are requested to PLEASE donate any unused or gently used solar glasses so that kids in those countries can enjoy the eclipse just as much as we did!  Just drop them off in the library, or see Ms. Scott with any questions.

  • What’s that buzz?  It’s the WMS Geo Bee — scheduled to take place this FRIDAY during 6th period.  As we prepare for the event, here’s one final sample question to help us get ready.
    .
Nearly 98-percent of the total population of Japan live on four major islands.  Can you name ANY of those islands??? [pause for Jeopardy music] And the answers are: Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu.
    .
How’d you do?  Be sure to tune-in to the Geo Bee — being broadcasted LIVE on WOLF-TV — this FRIDAY during 6th period. There can only be one champion, but who will it “BEE??”  May the best student win!!
    .
  • And finally, last month was Women’s History Month.  And in celebration of the occasion, a group of 7th graders put together a special tribute video to honor a trail-blazing woman who worked tirelessly to promote women’s rights.
