  • We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!  Big news from the Virginia Jr. Academy of Science — FIVE Williamsburg students have been accepted to present their science projects at the VJAS Symposium next month — a prestigious honor for the top young scientific minds from all across our state.  Congratulations to 7th grader Mara G. and 8th graders Katherine S., William C, Phillip J, and Ben P.  Your science fair projects ROCKED!  Way to go, science wolves!! [clap]

  • “Every HERO needs a squad!!” The Pennies for Patients fundraiser is in full swing — sponsored by the WMS Check-In Program. This national campaign benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which is working to find a cure for blood cancer. Pennies for Patients will run all month long, with the goal of raising 5-THOUSAND dollars.

    And here’s a little extra motivation for you: whichever TA collects the most money will get a free pizza and ice cream party!! Plus, Check-In will be selling CANDY and CHIPS after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. And TOMORROW — be sure to stop by the Pennies for Patients BAKE SALE — located outside of the library and by the cafeteria.  Get a SWEET TREAT as you head into Spring Break.  See Ms. Kia with any questions. And remember — every penny counts!!

  • Calling all kids in the WMS Kindness Club! There will be a meeting TODAY in room 201 in during ASP 1.  And this week, participants will be whipping-up some sweet treats in support of the Check-In “Bake Sale” this Friday — which will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Everyone is welcome — new members and old. Any questions? Please see Ms. Schaefer, Ms. Zeller or Mr. Johnson.

  • Attention all SCA officers and representatives! There will be a MANDATORY meeting this FRIDAY in room 215 beginning at 8 a.m. Again, this will be a VERY important meeting, so all officers and reps need to come tomorrow immediately following the Morning Announcements.   • The WMS Jazz Band Club will be hosting its next “Jam Session” TODAY during ASP 1 in the Band Hall. All instruments are welcome! For more information, go to the Jazz Club page on the WMS website or contact the band leader, Mr. Wilkin. You’ll have a swingin’ good time!
