  • We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!  The Northern Virginia Regional Science and Engineering Fair was held over the weekend, and a number of WMS students were recognized for their outstanding projects.
    Taking FIRST PLACE in their categories were:  In Animal Sciences — Delia C. and Hayley K.;
    In Engineering — Jack E.;
    In Environmental and Earth Science — Sebastian F.;
    In Microbiology — Sydney B.;
    In Physics and Astronomy — Colin B., Gideon F., and William G.;
    and In Plant Sciences — Alexandra M.
    Plus, Delia C. and Hayley K. were also selected to compete in the upcoming “Broadcom Masters” Competition — so wish them good luck.
    Way to go, science wolves!! [clap]
  • The APS “Color of Leadership Conference — Boys Rising Up!” — is scheduled for this SATURDAY from 8 to 2pm at Kenmore Middle School. Any middle school boys who wish to participate MUST turn in their blue and yellow registration forms TODAY.  See Ms. Pointer with any questions, or just drop off your forms in her basket by the door.
  • Latinas Leading Tomorrow will meet on THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 214. Learn about self-confidence, self- advocacy, and making your voice heard! See Ms. Pointer with any questions.
  • Who wants pizza?! The WMS Model UN Club will be selling pizza this FRIDAY after school — in the Main Lobby and by the Cafeteria. It’s Just 2-dollars for a slice and cookie. All proceeds will go to fund upcoming Model UN conferences and activities. Get it while it’s hot!
  • Looking for a fun after school activity? Then the WMS “Enrichment Matters” program is for you! Registration is now underway for an exciting array of classes, including: Chess, Restaurant Creations, Donut Bar, Game Design, Glee Club, and Programming with Minecraft. Just follow the “Enrichment Classes” link in the “Activities” section of the WMS website for descriptions and registration information. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
