  • We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!  Congratulations to 7th grader Caroline B. for winning a SILVER MEDAL in the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards contest!  Her intricate, glass-like sculpture — titled “Plastic Crumply Thing” — was constructed using Graffix Shrink film.  Caroline’s project is currently on display at Central Library.  Way to go, artistic wolf!! [clap]
  • Hey, ballers! It’s time for Hoops for Heart — the annual American Heart Association fundraiser! All PE classes will be holding special events today, including 5 on 5 — shooting contests — knockout — hula hoop and more! Fundraising envelopes are due by April 21st. Thanks in advance for supporting the fight against heart disease. Get your game on, wolves!!
  • Need help with Spanish? The Yorktown Spanish Honor Society is offering FREE tutoring next TUESDAY during ASP 2 in room WW 5. Get extra help with grammar and vocab — and everything you need to succeed. Just sign up with your Spanish teacher to attend, or see Senora Stewart with any questions. Hasta pronto!
  • The Model UN pizza fundraiser is TODAY after school in the main lobby and by the cafeteria. Pizza and cookies will be on sale for just 2-dollars! All money raised will go towards Model UN events and conferences. Get it while it’s hot!
  • Calling all film-makers and video-jockeys! The Arlington Student FilmFest is now accepting entries for its 2017 competition. To submit your video and application, just follow the link on the WOLF-TV section of the WMS website. The deadline to submit is April 3rd. Now go make some movie magic!
  • Hey 8th graders!! It’s time to start planning for the annual End-of-the-Year field trip to Kings Dominion!! Permission slips and money are due by next TUESDAY,  — NO EXCEPTIONS.  Cavaliers to Ms. Murphy; Hokies to Mr. Treble; Rams to Mr. Klink, and Patriots to Mr. McDermott. Questions or concerns?  Go see your World Geo teacher, or grade-level counselor.  See you at the park!!
