  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Calling all members of Inked, the Creative Writing Club!  Your Yearbook picture is happening RIGHT NOW in room 136!  If you haven’t already gone down, please ask your TA teacher to be excused and IMMEDIATELY go to room 136.  Once again, the Inked Club’s yearbook picture is happening NOW!!
    .
  • Calling all students!  Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  And now there’s NO EXCUSE for not eating it.  For the entire month of March, breakfast is being served for FREE in the WMS cafeteria before TA.  So head on down and grab some grub.  You’ll be glad you did!
    .
  • On your marks, get set, GO!  Tryouts for the WMS Track & Field team are scheduled to begin on Monday, March 11th.  But if you’d like to participate, you need to submit your physical by the end-of-the-day TODAY.  See Ms. Hogwood or Coach Treble with any questions.
    .
  • Give a helping hand to those in need!  The Helping Hands club is hosting a FOOD DRIVE to benefit the Arlington Food Assistance Center from now through next Wednesday.  They’re also having a friendly competition:  There will be food collection boxes in each grade-level hallway.  And whichever grade donates the most items will win a popsicle party during lunch!! Thanks for supporting the Arlington Food Assistance Center, Wolf Pack!!
    .
  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Hwang! It’s time to upgrade your iPad!  Roughly 100-students still haven’t installed the new operating system — iOS 17.3.1 — to their iPads.  The upgrade takes about 30-minutes to complete, so you’ll need to do it AT HOME this weekend.  And if you’re having trouble doing it yourself, please tell your TA teacher to submit a tech support ticket.  Don’t forget!  Upgrade your iPad ASAP!!
    .
  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch.  Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus!  See Ms. Lavin in the office with any questions.
    .

    .
  • Manie Musicale de Mars, 2024Up next, it’s the Manie Musicale de Mars — aka the March Madness of Music!  Nearly 6-million students from 34-countries are voting on the year’s best songs.  And YOU get a vote, too!  All students in FRENCH are reminded to cast your vote TODAY for the SECOND matchup in the Sweet-16.
    .
And if any non-French students are interested in the tournament, too — just go to room 220 and scan the QR code, or ask Ms. McNeese for more information. Vive la Musique!!

  • It’s the last day of Social Emotional Learning Week here at Williamsburg — and we have a special message from APS. Today we are highlighting the SEL competency of “responsible decision-making.”
    .
Responsible decision-making includes being a good problem-solver, keeping ourselves and others safe, making good choices, and reflecting on how our actions affect others. These are all skills that help us to be our best selves.  Thanks for participating in Social Emotional Learning Week. See Ms. Terzaghi with any questions.
    .
  • And finally, winter is almost over.  But for the first time in a LONG time, we actual got some snow this year!
    .
And even better — we got SNOW DAYS!!  Student-reporters Declan and Ryan have the story.
    .
    Roll tape!!
