• Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

• We begin with an IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT for all students and staff!  There will be a school-wide “refocus assembly” today at 9:15 in the gym.  Following TA, students should report to their first period classes, then wait for the all-call over the PA before heading to the assembly. Once again, please wait for the announcement before going to the refocus assembly in the gym.

• All the BEST BOOKS are on sale NOW! The WMS-PTA Scholastic Book Fair is open for business — all this week in the Library.  6th, 7th, and 8th graders will all have a chance to visit with their English classes — but everyone is welcome to stop by before TA, during lunch, and after school on most days. Look for the signs around the school and on the school website for exact hours. Don’t forget to bring your money — and go get yourself a good book!

• Calling all film-makers, journalists, and video-jockeys! The 10th annual Arlington Student FilmFest is now accepting entries for its 2022 competition. Just follow the link in today’s Morning Announcements Blog to submit your video and application by the deadline on April 3rd. The Festival itself will take place on May 14th at Washington-and-Liberty High School — where all of the finalists and award-winners will be screened.  See Mr. Schonfeld for more information.  Now go make some movie magic!

• And now for an update on the March Madness Tournament of Books — Graphic Novel Edition!  We’ve made it to the Championship Round — with “The Crossover” vs. “I Survived the Nazi Invasion, 1944.”  And YOU get to decide who will win!  To participate, just go to the Library Canvas Course and cast your vote today.  The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!

• Did you participate in an after school activity this year? The WMS Yearbook is wrapping-up club pictures this week.  Here’s the schedule:  the Track & Field team is TODAY on the Turf Field at 2:45pm.  And TAB is this Friday at 10am.  See your club sponsor with any questions — and say CHEESE!!
