The 8th grade Writing SOLs are ALMOST over. There will be another round of make-up testing TODAY in the library beginning at 8:30 a.m. — which is after the extended TA. Test-takers are reminded to bring ONLY your fully-charged iPad — no backpacks, pens nor pencils, water, snacks, nor any other electronic devices. See Ms. Cameron or your school counselor with any questions. Good luck on the SOL, 8th graders!

As for everyone else, it’s business as usual — Wolf Time followed by your regular schedule. However, students are reminded to please be considerate and QUIET when walking past the Library today — so as not to disrupt the test-takers.

Hey, 7th grade — How would YOU like to be on the Yearbook Staff next year? Then you need to act fast! The application deadline is April 1st — and that’s NO JOKE. This select group of students meet during TA and Wolf Time all year long — taking pictures, learning graphic design, and creating a keepsake for the ages. And while it’s NOT a class for a grade, it’s still a highly rewarding club and resume booster. Just swing by room 137 for more information and to get an application from Ms. Kontos. Stop the presses!! We’ve got BIG NEWS for all you 7th graders who’d like to be a part of WOLF-TV next year. The 8th grade Journalism elective is adding a SECOND section for the 2019-2020 school year. You’ll learn all about television production, running the Morning Announcements, and creating your own series of original segments — like GameSharkey Echo, Girl Talk, and Mediocre Media. See Mr. Schonfeld in the library classroom for more information — or talk to your counselor to sign-up.

And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Argenal in the office with any questions.
