    .
  • Up next, we need to talk about LOCKERS!  Before you leave for Spring Break, please make sure that there is NO FOOD left in your locker.  We don’t want to get BUGS!  And if you’ve decorated a friend’s locker, those decorations MUST be removed TODAY.  Thanks for your help, Wolves!!

  • And finally, it’s National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week here at APS — which aims to inspire dialogue about drug use and addiction among youth.  Today, we need to talk about FENTANYL!
    .
A POWERFUL opioid, Fentanyl is 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine — and is often mixed with other dangerous substances like heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine.  Fentanyl is often made to look like prescription medication. In 2022, law enforcement in the US seized nearly 60-MILLION fentanyl pills and 14-THOUSAND pound of fentanyl powder — which is equivalent to over 400-MILLION lethal doses.
    .
For more information about drug and alcohol abuse, or if YOU or SOMEONE YOU KNOW needs help, please contact Ms. Chisolm, the WMS Substance Abuse Counselor.
